Sampling valves
BTG’s reliable sampling valves gives accurate consistency meters
All consistency meters need to be calibrated. For this a pulp sample needs to be taken out from the pipe. This must be accurate, and all possible errors needs to be reduced. The result is a summary of all errors on the way. This starts with a good sampling valve.
A good sampler should be
- independent of operator
- take out a representative sample, each time.
- be safe to operate
BTG’s sampler has these characteristics.
The mechanics and design of the samplers make them repeatable and work in same way, independent of operator and over time.
They also take the sample a bit into the pipe to avoid the water film and the lower consistency close to the pipe wall.
The installation position of the sampler is also a very important factor to get out a representative result.
